Classical APS applies fixed rules and parameters your team configures and maintains, and it recalculates the whole schedule when something changes, which can be slow. AiPS adapts to your environment and replans quickly, which matters most when your product mix is high and disruptions are frequent. If your APS works well in a stable setup, there's no need to switch. The difference shows up when planning gets dynamic.
